Notes from the field:

The rhythm of our days these days:  Late nights.  Early mornings.  Off to market - Return from market, manage field work, watch the sunset.  Watch the moon rise.  See the fog lift, the sky clear.

What's in the Box?
  • Mesculin
  • Red Cabbage
  • Leeks
  • Quart of tomatoes
  • Quart of La Ratte Potatoes
  • Your choice Winter Squash
  • Your choice fresh herb

Share a smile.  Eat a cherry tomato.  Sleep a little.  Ask big questions, addrss the daily questions: How much should we pick?  What time can I seed spinach?  What will we give the CSA?  Why are there holes on these rutabega leaves?  When will I call those people back?

Talk to a family.  Plan a one-day adventure for a bridal shower in Pittsburgh, PA.  Hear from old friends.  Drink Yerba-mate.  Receive the thoughtful loaf of weekly sourdough bread.  Set the alarm to a louder setting - it's still dark out.  Hoop and cover winter greens.  Harvest onions, next potatoes.  Make notes about the season.  Make sure Winter Rye is in the ground by October 15th.

Find inner peace.  Breathe and enjoy.  This is beauty.

Thanks you.
