Notes from the field:

The sound of rain drips and patters onto leaf tops.  This rain makes me think of apple trees; this seasonal trasition to fall, and moisture percolating down to deeper rooted crops, feels like a nice way to round our our growing season.

This week's bas is full of choices.  Our abundance is so great that each week wi will be able to offer you all a hand in the variety you put in your bag.  We hope this serves you well.  For anyone who chooses a red cabbage, there are some great recipes for sween and sour cabbage made with apple and a little vinegar.  Eggpland is great grilled.  Soak sliced eggpland in water with a little salt to remove bitterness.  The beans, try roasting, or your favorite way for eating - they are crunchy and delicious in any form!

We hope that the zucchini is sweet and the cucumbers crunchy; that your lives be full of heart, and your bodies filled with the fuel of good food.  Thank you all for being a part of the Dig Deep Farm CSA.
