  • Notes from the Field:

The winter season has brought shorter work days, good rest, and friendships.

As April approaches Jon and I are working out the organizational details of our crop plans, prepping the high tunnel for early spring greens, talking through marketing opportunities, ans starting seeds.  What fun?!?! Yes!

This month your share includes celeriac, a nobby-shaped, whitish root.  I ordered the celeriac and beets from Goranson Farm.  I wanted you all to have more diversity in your bag beyond storage radishes.  The Goranson Farm is based in Dresden, Me.  The farmers that taught me the trade and where I caught the agricultural spirit.

Cereriac is used like celery, except a little more versatile.  It is great on soups or roasted with other roots; try it in mashed potatoes.

What's in the Bag?

  • Kale
  • Pea Shoots
  • Celeriac
  • Beets
  • Carrots
  • Potatoes
  • Onions
  • Watermelon Radish

Enjoy, Dig Deep.
