Notes From the Field
July is an apex in the growing season. Shorter season crops are fruiting, longer term crops are blossoming - weeds of all species and heights exist.
Signs of our spring coming are still present, and the forward motion of our late spring decisions are looking to be fruitful: a gap in our beet production some beautiful winter squash.
What's in the Bag
This weeks bag contains green beans. As Dig Deep waits for one more week for our purple beans my mom and aunt's green beans from their small scale operation at our family land in Cornish, ME are prolific - please enjoy! They are a variety of bean called "Provider" known for their early season production. Yum! Very sweet!
See the Kale with Garlic Butter and Cashews recipe!
What's coming: More cucumbers
Dig Deep everyone!
