Notes From the Field

Helowww Everyone! Welcome to Bag Share Season!

This week, and for the next few you will find greens for fresh eating and for light sauteing in your bags.

We are still in the midst of our planting season - potatoes, sweet peppers, eggplant; watermelons and winter squash yet to go...  We are hoping for summer time heat and rain for late summer/fall's abundance.

What's in the Bag?

  • Salad mix
  • Pea Shoots
  • Your choice: Sunflower or Radish Shoots
  • Chives

The year in the newsletter I feel intrigued to learn more about lore and world history of vegetables along with new recipes and ways you use our fresh, seasonal produce - submissions and ideas welcome.

In a Dig Deep bag share one can expect salad most every week.  Pea shoots are a tender green, delicious for fresh eating or wilting with the slightest bit of heat.  Radish or sunflower shoots are for fresh eating.  Be creative and enjoy!
