Notes from the Field

Wow!  What is happening?!?!

We have two weeks left of our bag share after this week....

In this period of seasonal change we are actively reflecting on the growing season as we gather in the remainder of our efforts from the season:  winter squash, potatoes, dried flowers - soon . . . beets and winter storage crops: carrots, cabbage and celeriac.  We will cover crop our field with oats and high hoop the remaining field greens so we can provide everyone in Augusta that we can with some of the sweetest produce around...

What's in the Bag

  • Salad mix
  • Potatoes
    3 russet - great bakers
1 pint Prarie Blush (Gold flesh)
  • Sweet peppers 1 Golden, 1 Carmen
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 bunch leeks
  • 1 eggplant

We have essentially none more weeks to do all this. . .

I hope you all enjoy the first sounds of the wild geese flying south and enjoy the potatoes and leeks insashing together - roasted or as a fall soup!

All the best
