Notes from the field

Monday evening brought alive feelings of challenge in relation to some of the seasons weather.

I pulled up a section of carrots - flesh eaten by wire worms or pinched by root nematodes; either distorting the shape of the carrot root to travel with multifaceted direction (the nematodes) or to be eaten and then show signs of rot due to moisture - "When will the sun show???" I wonder and decide it's time to leave the day to rest...

What's in the Bag

  • Salad Mix
  • Scallions
  • Carrots
  • Basil
  • Lettuce Head
  • Mixed Saute Greens

I return home weary, surprised by such emotion - a thread so justly intertwined with this wonderful work: the unknowns ahead with each seed se scatter and sow and the desire that full expression of sun, soil, rain, and effort be met with and without expectation.

We hope you enjoy this week's tidings.  We hope to be heading into a new phaze of the summer season soon!!

Many thanks to everyone for being consistent with pick up their bag!!
