Field Notes:

Monday morning harvest days are filled with laughter - sharing anectodotes from past days and collaborating on ideas like a local broadcasting of "Maine's next top farmer."

We day dream about challenges for competition with no talk about what a grand prize would be.  I guess we are open to suggestions on this one; challenge ideas are also welcome.

Seems as though we have avoided a September frost - amazing.  I imagine a color filled and weather filled October.

Our greens will continue right through December - salad into November, kale for December, cabbage for January, pea shoots for february, and back to kale for march.....

I hope you all enjoy the food.  Next week is Week 17, the final summer season pick-up.

It is such a pleasure weekly, to have you all a part of our CSA farm Community.

What's in the bag?

  • Red russian kale
  • Butternut squash
  • Red onions
  • Tomatoe

Deep gratitude
