Notes from the Field

Crenshaw melons are a commitment! This season our canteloupe varieties that we chose because they average 3 pounds - are averaging 5 poiund - a byproduct of heat and water.

Size does not affect the Lilly melon's (aka Crenshaw) flavor. A light, sweet, and aromatic experience the Crenshaws are so fun and delicious.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by the tomatoes, freezing them whole makes for a great meal in the winter: put them in chili or make sauce.

  • 1 pint of cherry tomatoes
